Nothing can be worse than being stuck in an uncomfortable pair of shoes all day long. Shoe comfort is very important not only to women but to men also. The last thing you need is to be distracted by your shoes during an important meeting or business venture. There are a few simple tips to make sure that this never happens to you. Shoe comfort doesn't have to be just an unfulfilled dream anymore.
When you purchase a new pair of shoes you will want to break them in so they are as comfortable as possible. You want to make sure that your new shoes are not too tight but tight enough. Also make sure that your shoes do not rub up and down when you walk, if they are a bit loose stuff a few cotton balls into the toes. You do not have to wear a pair of new shoes in order to break them in; this is the number one cause of painful blisters. The night before you want to wear a new pair of shoes stuff them with rolled up t-shirts, socks, or whatever. This will stretch them out a bit so that they do not cause blisters due to fitting too tightly. It saves you from discomfort the hard work of breaking in a new pair of shoes.
Any pair of shoes can be made into a comfortable pair of shoes by adding gel inserts onto the inner soles. You foot will have a nice soft cushion that absorbs the shock that the foot receives when walking or running. Gel inserts as well as many different types of therapeutic inserts are available at most department stores and shoe stores.
To prevent blisters, an unusual idea that works surprisingly well is to stick a thin maxi pad or panty liner to the back of a shoe. It is completely unnoticeable and you will not be able to see the feminine product unless you take off your shoes. If you do not want to use feminine products a good substitute is a few large bandages.
To improve flexibility so that the shoes are not stiff when you wear them, bend them up and down a bit to loosen the material. Shifting your feet inside of your shoes while sitting or standing is a good way to stretch out shoes that are too tight on your toes. It stretches the material and prevents the shoe from squeezing your foot.
